This distinctive houseboat is built on a concrete hull with a timber superstructure by Spruyt Arkenbouw and features a playful interior with a clear 1930s character. Warm wood finishes, paneling, and decorative details create a cozy atmosphere throughout. A unique aspect is the reuse of original materials from a former school building in Zwolle, including doors and ornamental elements. One of these original doors is still functional and now serves as a charming passage between the living room and the bedroom.

Layout
The houseboat is accessed via a footbridge leading to the front door and entrance hall, which provides access to the toilet and the recently renovated bathroom. From the hall, you enter the surprisingly spacious split-level living room, featuring a wood-burning stove and two skylights that flood the space with natural light. On the opposite side of the houseboat is the bright, open-plan kitchen, with French doors opening onto the covered south-facing terrace by the water, complete with a swimming ladder. The kitchen is arranged in a practical corner layout, with a large section of the countertop positioned beneath the window. A kitchen cupboard houses the utility meters and provides access to the lower storage area, a generous space containing the washing machine, dishwasher, and central heating system.

Adjacent to the living room is the sleeping area, also designed on a split level. It consists of an upper bedroom and an open lower area currently used as a walk-in wardrobe, but also suitable for placing an additional bed if required.
